Why Witches do not Cross Water

Witches are known to not cross water.

The starting point is to understand that comes from understanding the nature of the magic circle.

The magic circle is understood to be surrounded by water. When wiccans form a circle they may place salt water around the edge of the circle to mark the boundary. In Wicca the circle is often imagined to be a moat with four watchtowers and so once formed the circle is a protected space.

To cross water means to leave the circle.

Leaving the circle

Witches are reluctant to leave the circle once formed. It is from this that the understanding that witches do not cross water comes. This is seen in the famous poem the Tam o Shanter and in other places.

There is no easy route to success here, but it is vital that someone gets moving with this. Having a good range of products is definitely the way forward.
